TIGS, founded in 2017, is a non-profit research institute that aspires to develop solutions to challenges in human health and agriculture. TIGS is a unique initiative to support applications of cutting-edge science and technology in genetics and genomics to solve societal problems of the country. The most significant challenges that impede the achievement of health equity and nutrition security for all of India’s population require systematic evidence-based scientific advancements and technological solutions. Research programs at TIGS are focused on three broad areas: Infectious Diseases, Rare Genetic Disorders, and Crop Improvement.
TIGS is a program driven research institute with a focus on solving pressing societal challenges. We are looking for scientists at different levels for research programs and technology platforms at TIGS. Duration: Regularization after successful completion of probation period of at least one year.
We call upon candidates who are interested in being part of the ongoing research activities at TIGS and providing support to various projects at our organisation.
- Master’s degree in any area of Life Sciences from a recognised university (preferred)
- Proven experience in handling laboratory instruments, data collection and organisation
- Familiarity with basic molecular and cell biology techniques, bioinformatics, genomic tools, and applications
- Proven experience of working on collaborative projects as part of their degree or thereafter

TIGS offers training programs to students pursuing or having completed degrees in the natural sciences with good academic performance.

The dissertation research training program at TIGS is offered to students who are required to do a research project towards the completion of their degree.
